Rotary Club of Falmouth, in conjunction with Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break, is proud to announce its first annual Golf Tournament to be held at the Pocasset Country Club.
Nestled in the quiet village of Pocasset, Massachusetts, just 3 miles from the Cape Cod Canal, Pocasset Golf Club earns its reputation as one of the Cape's finest golf courses. Originally built in 1916 and totally restored over the past five years, this Donald Ross design features rolling, natural terrain, and pristine conditions. Heather blows freely in the summer winds while strategically placed bunkers and gently contoured fairways provide a welcome challenge for players of all levels. Our greatest asset is the manner in which our members feel welcomed and at home. The air of pretense pervasive at many other private clubs simply doesn’t exist at Pocasset. For more information on the Pocasset Country Club go to: www.pocassetgolfclub.com
Get your Foursome together and join us on Monday, June 14, 2021 for a Shotgun Scramble at 1:15pm. Prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin and the infamous Cannonball Launcher to get bragging rights for your longest drive ever. Honor your Veterans with a Flag with their Name, Rank, Branch of Service and picture. These flags will be placed on the tee boxes throughout the course and will be yours to keep.
After your round of golf, relax with a beverage as we announce the winners of our silent auction, then feast on an amazing dinner served by the wonderful staff at Pocasset Country Club.
The highlight of our evening will be our auction hosted by our own local celebrity, Wayne Soares. Wayne Soares is an actor & comic. The former ESPN Radio and Fox SportsNet host also travels the globe, entertaining our men and women of our U.S Military. Wayne’s Veterans Spotlight column appears weekly in the Enterprise Newspapers as well as nationally in RallyPoint - the nation’s largest online support network for active military and veterans.
